SarahPac: Looking Ahead To 2012

Latest email from SarahPac:

Dear Friends,
I am so thankful for the American patriots across our nation who voted this past November to bring Congress back to the ideals of our Founding Fathers.
The White House and Congress heard loud-and-clear that Americans don’t want cradle-to-grave government control of our lives. We don’t want government bureaucrats deciding what kind of light bulbs we should use, what kind of cars we should drive, and which doctors can and can’t care for us and our families. And we don’t want our president continuing to manipulate the U.S. energy supply. What we want are the freedom and opportunities to make a better life for ourselves in this most exceptional nation on earth.

Taking back control of the House last year was only the first step. Now you and I must fix our eyes on 2012. Our goal is to take back the White House and the Senate. We must take back control of Congress and the White House in order to undo the damage done by the disastrous Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda.

I’ll be supporting commonsense conservative candidates in crucial off-year elections and doing all that I can to ramp up our preparations for 2012. And I promise to join you in holding new members of Congress accountable to ensure that they live up to their campaign promises to rein in out-of-control government spending and to repeal and replace the massive, burdensome, and unwanted Obamacare bill.

Can I count on your support as we look ahead to 2012?

I know what a sacred trust it is to be asking you to contribute your hard-earned money to SarahPAC. I take that trust very seriously, especially in these hard economic times. But there’s so much at stake now -– we are the most powerful country on earth and the world is better off because of us. Yet our own president and our liberal Senate seem determined to weaken us.

It’s imperative that you and I fight to end deficit spending - protect our free market entrepreneurial system - drill here and drill now for responsible energy independence - secure our borders - and strengthen our national defense to stand up to Islamic extremists and other enemies of America.

If you want to help me lay crucial groundwork, please send your best gift possible to SarahPAC today.

Thank you for joining me in the fight to keep America the country we know and love!

With an Alaskan Heart,

Sarah Palin

Tea Partiers It's Time To Be Heard

I wrote a post a few weeks ago about how the GOP Establishment was trying to "spin" us on the merits of the pathetic budget deal for fiscal 2011.  Now we have a quote that explains why they did this:

The Tea Party is not growing. They are not strong.  You do not need to worry about how they will react to your vote.

If you do not like what we are doing, and don't vote with us, you should get the hell out.

This quote is from the GOP House leadership.  This is more wishful thinking than it is fact.  The tea party delivered the House to Republicans in the last election.  Anyone who doubts that cannot be taken seriously.  The GOP Leadership is unwilling/unable to fight Obama's move toward socialism and they resent that the tea party is pushing them to do so.  We were told that the 2011 budget was no worth the political risk to wage a fight over and the the "real" fight would be over the debt limit.  I had little confidence this fight would actually take place and now the Speaker Boehner is accepting leftist talking points on the oil companies my I see that my doubt is justified.    David Limbaugh has articulated my thoughts on the GOP perfectly:

The Republicans do need an excuse to ignore their mandate. But they always have one: "If we allow the government to shut down, the people will be furious and throw us out of office" or "We represent just one-half of one-third of the federal government."

Each time we approach a leverage point (government shutdown, debt ceiling) where the Republicans could employ a little brinksmanship to force a recalcitrant Democratic Party to begin acting responsibly, they convince themselves that the possible consequences of pressing the issue aren't worth the risk. But do they ever really sufficiently make the case of how much greater the consequences would be if they were not to take action very soon?

Read the whole piece.  It is excellent.

We cannot stand by and allow the GOP to remain a.w.o.l. in this fight.  Tea Party Express is urging everyone to contact their members of Congress in their home districts concerning the debt limit on April 28.  Go here for details.

Help Judge Prosser In The Recount For The Wisconsin Supreme Court - Update

Earlier this month Governor Palin endorsed Judge Prosser for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.  Prosser won that election by 7316 votes.  However, the loser Kloppenburg is now calling for a recount.  Judge Prosser issued this statement following Kloppenburg's decision.  Please contribute and spread the word about Judge Prosser's Victory Recount Fund.  This demonstrates how desperate the democrats of Wisconsin are to roll back the collective bargaining reforms instituted by Governor Walker.  When liberals lose at the ballot box they turn to the courts to do their bidding.  Although there is very little reason to believe that Prosser's victory will be overturned we should leave nothing to chance.  Please help Judge Prosser hold his seat.

More Anti-American Energy Policies From Obama - Update

In her speech in Madison, WI on Saturday, Governor Palin mentioned the fact that Obama is enabling other countries to drill for oil while stopping us from doing the same here in the U.S.  In August of 2009 Obama gave Brazil $2 billion to facilitate that countries offshore drilling.  Well he is at it again.  This time the U.S. will give Colombia $2.84 billion for oil refinery.  Meanwhile, President Obama has done all that he can to stifle oil drilling in America.  The BP oil spill was used as an excuse to stop all offshore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and now a year later 103 drilling plans await government approval.  Forget about the jobs this policies is costing us.  We can give money to other countries so that they can drill for oil, but no way can we be allowed to drill here.  Obama is fully committed to the liberal green agenda and nothing will stand in his way.  No Obama will spend money on solar energy and wind farms.  Well the sun does not always shine and the wind does not always blow, but don't bother a liberal with facts.  In the meantime gas is at or above $4 a gallon.  The media does not report this as a crisis and Obama is not concerned.  Obama's fundamental change is marxism.  He must be defeated in 2012 or the U.S. as we know it will cease to exist.

Obama Unleashes His Inner Marx

So President Obama gave a campaign speech disguised as a budget proposal on Wednesday.  Strangely he invited Paul Ryan and other republicans to hear his tirade.  What is it that drives Mr. Obama to invite political adversaries to an event so that he can eviscerate them to their faces?  After listening to that speech, there should be no doubt that Obama and his democrat supporters in Congress are in fact Marxists.  America is not great because of innovations by individuals or freedom, but because of entitlement programs.  Obama and the liberals believe that all money belongs to the government and taxes are never high enough despite the evidence of truth. Obama can no longer make proposals he does not intend to keep to show that he is a moderate.  He has a record now so that will not work anymore.  He will now attempt to fool people into supporting liberalism by couching it in language that sounds moderate and to silence any and all opposition whatever means are necessary.  It is time for the GOP leadership in DC to come up with a strategy to articulate conservative philosophy and deal with this.  If all republicans do is sit around being afraid of what the media will say about them we are doomed.  Arguing over policy differences is not enough. Republicans must tell the voters why their policies should be adopted.  Liberals promote their philosophy constantly.  It is about time we did the same.

Find A Tax Day Tea Party Rally Near You - Update Gov Palin Will Be At Madison Rally

Tax Day is nearly upon us and so it is time for tea party rallies all across the land.  We have taken the House from the liberal democrats putting the brakes on their socialist agenda.  It is time to celebrate our victory and gather our strength for the fights to come.  Besides the elections this year and the 2012 presidential race, there are many battles coming up.  Congress will soon debate whether or not to raise the debt limit along with the 2012 budget and we must continue to hold the GOP to carry out the conservative policies we want.  The democrats and establishment republicans are eager to see any sign that the tea party is in decline.  Let's show them that they are wrong.  Below are two sites with calendars to search for tea party rallies that you can attend in your area.

This Is The Best Deal We Could Get? - Updated Levin Was Right

Forgive me if I do not celebrate the "historic" $39 billion deal made last night to avoid a government shutdown.  This is a far cry from the $100 billion from the Pledge To America and Mark Levin is hearing that even this $39 billion may be a sham.  It is not that I was spoiling to shut it down.  I was hoping to see that the republicans in DC had finally learned how to effectively fight Obama and the democrats.  Sadly, I was disappointed.  The media is totally in the tank for Obama and everyone should know that by now, but the GOP leadership could have taken their argument directly to the public to counteract this.  The republicans in DC are unable to articulate conservative philosophy in a way that can galvanize public opinion.  To win an argument, one must first make and argument.  The GOP should have been out every day pointing out the fact that the democrats failed to pass a budget.  Obama was planning to veto a bill to make sure the military was paid in the event of a shutdown and despite the fact that it would have passed the House and Senate with bipartisan support, the GOP failed to use this issue to their advantage.  I should not be surprised by this.  Obamacare has been ruled unconstitutional and yet it continues to be implemented along with waivers and a newly discovered bailout for public sector unions.  Republicans should be hammering the democrats on this daily, but they are not.  I have no confidence in their ability to fight the upcoming battles on the debt ceiling and Ryan's budget.  We await someone to step up and wage the kind of fight against liberalism that we want.  Governor Palin, your army awaits.

Update - Mark Levin was right, actual budget cuts only $28 billion

Paul Ryan Releases 2012 Budget

Rep. Paul Ryan has now released the GOP House plan for the 2012 budget.  Governor Palin has re-iterated her support for Paul Ryan's plan.  Heritage Foundation has in depth analysis of this budget proposal here.  This is very encouraging to see coming out of the GOP House and we must do what we can to see that it is implemented.  The democrats are already demonizing it just as they are already trying to blame republicans for a government shutdown over the 2011 budget proposed by the House.  Demagoguery will not work this time democrats.  Your fight is not with the GOP in DC, it is with ordinary Americans who know we cannot go on spending forever.  IT'S NOT YOUR MONEY!  We beat you in November 2012 and we will beat you again in 2012.
