July 4th Tea Party Rallies

At this time of year as we prepare to celebrate our independence on July 4th we become more aware that the freedom's we enjoy are now under threat from Obama and the Left.  That is the beauty of the Tea Party movement.  The Tea Party is a spontaneous effort of the people which is why it continues to prosper unlike the many failed top down organizations that liberals have started in an attempt to counter it.  Rallies allow us to get together to celebrate past victories and look forward to future success.  Once again there will be Tea Party rallies across the country on July 4th so if you want to attend take a look at the links below.

*Sigh* Reports of Tour Demise Are Greatly Exaggerated

Sarah Palin via Facebook  -
Imagine our surprise when reading media reports today that the “One Nation Tour” has been cancelled. Why didn’t anyone tell me? Oh, wait, that’s because it hasn’t been cancelled. (Good ol' media... you never cease to amaze!)

As I said myself at the end of the east coast leg of the tour, the summer is long, and I’m looking forward to hitting the open road again. The coming weeks are tight because civic duty calls (like most everyone else, even former governors get called up for jury duty) and I look forward to doing my part just like every other Alaskan.

I wouldn’t think it to be such a slow news day that, what with numerous wars and serious economic woes concerning Americans, a bus is driving news stories today. The next leg of the tour continues when the time comes. In the meantime, no one should jump to conclusions – certainly not the media with their long track record of getting things wrong or just making things up.

The Undefeated Is Well Received At RightOnline

Bloggers at the RightOnline conference were given a special screening of "The Undefeated" last night.  From what I have read they were impressed by what they saw.  Read some of the comments from bloggers as they tweeted while watching the movie.   One of the bloggers at the screening has written a review of the movie (h/t Victory Films) and found that it was much more that he expected.  Stacy McCain has a video up of an interview he had with the director after the conference.

Wisconsin Supreme Court And Recall Elections

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has struck down a judge's decision so that the collective bargaining reforms passed by Governor Scott Walker and the republicans will now go into effect.  Congratulations to the voters of Wisconsin on a job well done, but the fight is not over.  The public sector unions do not want to give up their power and the democrats do not want to lose the money that comes to them from the government employee unions.  They are now looking to the recall elections to get enough democrats elected so that they can overturn the law.  This must not be allowed to happen.  I have now added information for the Wisconsin July 12 and July 19 recall elections here.  Please support the republican candidates so that the collective bargaining reforms in Wisconsin will remain in place.

Update On The Nevada District 2 Special Election

The Nevada Supreme Court will hear arguments in the case concerning the district 2 special election on June 28.  This is in response to a lower court ruling against the decision of the Nevada Secretary of State to have an open primary to fill this seat vacancy.  While the September 13 primary may or may not take place, candidates are in the process of filing to run for this seat.  Sharron Angle has pulled out of this race, but the list of candidates that have filed to run is here.

Setting the Record Straight: About the Hard-Working Governor Behind the Emails

From SarahPac: has come up with the great idea of encouraging readers to do their own archiving of Governor Palin’s emails:
The media went crazy thinking they were going to find a smoking gun on Governor Palin by forcing the State of Alaska to release 24,199 pages of email communications during her time in office. They were wrong and have admitted as much. After the media spent so much time and effort, they discovered no “bombshells,” which of course they were hoping for all along....
The media is cherry-picking small excerpts to highlight, but they are leaving the bulk of the 24,199 pages out of their reports. That’s where you come in…
We need to gather links from the email database that prove what kind of leader Governor Palin really is. We need to find the stuff the media doesn’t want the public to know about. We want to show the stuff they aren’t reporting but is still available online. The media wanted to “expose” what kind of executive Governor Palin was while in office… So, let us oblige them! We need your help collecting and archiving excerpts.
Read more here about how you can get involved. We encourage everyone to join in. We'll link to the finished results here.

Our Turncoat President

I recently posted a video showing President Obama's turncoat activities.  Governor Palin's latest facebook post gives more evidence of the same.

As Governor I fought the Obama Administration’s plans to cut funds for missile defense in Alaska. So imagine how appalled and surprised I was to read this article by former Clinton CIA Director James Woolsey, appropriately titled “Giving Away the Farm,” concerning President Obama’s latest bizarre actions relating to missile defense.

President Obama wants to give Russia our missile defense secrets because he believes that we can buy their friendship and cooperation with this taxpayer-funded gift.  But giving military secrets and technologies to a rival or competitor like Russia is just plain dumb.  You can’t buy off Russia.  And giving them advanced military technology will not create stability.  What happens if Russia gives this technology (or sells it!) to other countries like Iran or China?   After all, as Woolsey points out, Russia helped Iran with its missile and nuclear programs. Or what happens if an even more hardline leader comes to power in the Kremlin?

We tried buying off the Kremlin with technologies in the 1970s.  That policy was a component of “detente,” and the hope was that if we would share our technologies with them, they would become more peaceful.  Things, of course, didn’t work out that way.  The Kremlin took western technologies and embarked on a massive military building program. History teaches that peace comes from American military strength.  And a central component of that has always been technological superiority.  Why would President Obama even dream of giving this away?

Members of Congress saw how foolish President Obama’s gambit was, so they put a section in the defense appropriation bill that specifically forbids the federal government from spending money to share these technologies with the Kremlin.  President Obama actually threatened to veto the defense appropriation bill over this section of the law! Fortunately, the House passed the bill with a veto-proof majority, a whopping 322 to 96. Attention now turns to the Senate.

Why is it that President Obama seems to work so hard to give things to our enemies, while at the same time asking friends and allies like Israel to make sacrifices?

During these tough economic times when we are facing massive deficits and a competitive global economy, does President Obama really want to give away technologies that the American taxpayer paid lots of money to develop?  Giving away our missile defense secrets won’t make us safer.  What it will do is create a situation where we are facing an arms race with ourselves. Russia gets access to our technologies, and we are forced to spend even more money because of the need to stay ahead. Does this make sense to you? Me neither. File this under “WTF.”

Wisconsin Supreme Court Saga Ends

The Wisconsin Supreme Court election is finally settled.  Justice Prosser has been certified as the winner of the Wisconsin Supreme Court election.  JoAnne Kloppenburg has decided not to pursue any further court challenges and has conceded this race.  Well done Wisconsin voters.  Now its time to help the republicans facing recall elections as the public sector unions continue trying to overturn the law that reigns in their collective bargaining privileges.
