SarahPac End Of First Quarter

The first quarter of 2011 is about to end (where has the time gone) and SarahPac will need to file another report with the FEC.  While this money cannot be used directly to help Governor Palin run for President, good fundraising numbers will help to maintain her status among the top tier candidates for 2012.  If you are planning to give to SarahPac anytime soon please do so before end of day on March 31 so that it will count toward this quarter.  Even if you are not giving money it is still a good idea to sign up your email address with SarahPac.  An increasing email contact list is another way to show Sarah the number of core supporters she can count on.

West Virginia Governor Special Election Primary Coming Up

In following the elections this year, I must admit that this one slipped through my radar and the dates are fast approaching.  This primary to decide who the republican nominee will be to replace Governor Manchin is May 14.  If you need to register to vote the deadline for that is April 25.  Early voting runs from April 29 - May 11 and absentee ballots must be returned by May 9.  I have added a countdown clock for this primary to the upper left.  Go to the websites below for more information on this election.

Candidates are listed here and here

Some Things (For Palin Supporters) To Do - Updated

While Governor Palin has not yet announced whether she will run for president or not (it is my opinion that she will) we do not need to remain idle while we wait.  Organize4Palin, (not affiliated with the Governor) is launching a registration drive and I encourage you to sign up.  This group will be very helpful with grassroots efforts.  If you have not already done so, I think you should also "like/follow" her on facebook and twitter and sign up to get email updates from SarahPac.  While it is true that her writings can be read without doing these things, increasing her numbers on these sites will be further encouragement for her to run.

On an unrelated note, consider donating to help Wisconsin republicans in their efforts to fight the recall.  Obama is very much involved in this recall attempt.

Update - Thanks to the comment by Anonymous, let me clear up some confusion I may have caused.  The registration drive I wrote about above is a registration to join Organize4Palin, not a voter registration drive.  Also, I am not advocating a surge of money contributions to Governor Palin at this time.  I only suggested that everyone add themselves to the SarahPac email list, which can be done without a contribution, along with following the Governor on twitter and facebook.  While SarahPac is still collecting funds to help promote other candidates, SarahPac funds cannot be used directly by Sarah for a presidential campaign.

Again on an unrelated note, for those who live in Kentucky and want to vote in the primary for statewide elections on May 17, the voter registration deadline is April 18.

The Left's Economic Terrorism Plans for America

Glenn Beck has uncovered audio of leftists discussing methods to destabilize the banks in an attempt to deliberately collapse the U.S. economy.  The audio is below.

The Media and the Republicans

I came across this article at American Thinker and thought I would share it.  It discusses the history of liberal bias in the lamestream media and how they slowly became for all intents and purposes a propaganda wing of the DNC.

The American mainstream media, once the most dominant news gathering entity in the world, has lost its credibility and is in the process of losing its influence.  Yet the Republicans and some conservative intelligentsia in Washington D.C. still foolishly curry the media's favor, cower in fear of their by-gone power and do not understand their motives and mindless acquiescence to group-think mentality.
 ...
This lack of integrity was never more manifest than the media's slavish fawning over Barack Obama in the 2008 election and their continued loyalty despite his myriad failings, obvious disinterest in the job of President, and his infatuation with the perquisites of his office.  Like a battered spouse, many in the mainstream media will not leave his side.

This march to the media's present role of being in league with the Obama administration is based not only on assuaging their guilt and cheerleading for his success as the first African-American President, but the culmination of the good-versus-evil orientation of modern journalism.  The process of determining who were the righteous and who were the villains was begun by the American Left over 80 years ago.

The manufactured villain turned out to be those who stand for: 1) the traditions and tenets as espoused by the founding fathers (who are responsible for creating a nation inherently unfair and racist), 2) the free enterprise system (which is riddled with perceived inequities).

I highly recommend that you read whole thing.

Dan Riehl: Why They Really Fear Sarah Palin, And Why She Should Run

From Riehl World View
Many people think the DC GOP establishment fears and constantly attacks Sarah Palin because they're afraid she could become president. But that can't really be true, can it? If they believe she's everything they think and say she is, or isn't, along with being so utterly unqualified, she doesn't have a prayer of becoming president. Right? And don't kid yourself that they think differently about her than they increasingly openly claim. I'm just not sure they even understand why they do; it's more instinctual, than anything, embedded within their instinct to survive.

But, ironically, that's the key to why they really hate her and what she does without seemingly trying. And she does it even as they attack her. In the first place, they do fear she might become president, or at least win the nomination. So, what does that say as regards how they really think about you, or "we the people," as it were. Well, obviously, they think you're stupid because they can't trust you to not elect someone they perceive as so dumb, and/or unfit.

Yet, as an aside, these same people, even ones who officially campaigned against Obama, never claimed Obama was fundamentally unfit, now did they? Yet, time has proven precisely that. So, just how smart are these people?

The point is, attacking her while believing she's totally unfit to become president makes little sense and is a profound waste of their supposedly so valuable time - unless it exposes them in terms of what they think about the average Republican voter and American in general.

Charles Krauthammer And George Will Missed Reagan's Rise Too

I have written before about Charles Krauthammer not getting it when it comes to Sarah Palin's popular support.  Now Mark Levin gives some history to show that neither Charles Krauthammer or George Will supported Ronald Reagan in the beginning.

Mark Levin writes:

A couple of quick things: 1. As I demonstrated last week, remarkably George Will missed the Reagan Revolution not only in 1976 but as late as 1980.  In the 1979 Republican Presidential Primary, his first choice was Howard Baker, his second choice was George H. W. Bush, and his third choice was Reagan.  Not until days before the 1980 general election did he write on November 3, 1980 that Reagan deserved election.  For all his wonderful columns, the Republican electorate better understood the needs of the nation and the excellence of a potential Reagan presidency than Will.  It is hard to believe he was so wrong about a matter of such great import, despite Reagan's presence on the national scene for many years.  2. Charles Krauthammer was not only wrong about Reagan, as late as 1980 he was a speech-writer for Vice President Walter Mondale.  Krauthammer, like Will, not only missed the significance of the Reagan candidacy, but was putting words in the mouth of a terribly flawed politician from a philosophical perspective. I certainly do not begrudge, but in fact encourage, liberals becoming conservatives or Democrats becoming Republicans.  Reagan was a Democrat who famously changed parties.  But I do not believe that individuals touted by a left-wing "news" site as two of the leading conservative intellectuals, who stunningly opposed Reagan's candidacy while both were of mature age and mind, are necessarily reliable barometers in this regard.  The "non-intellectual" voters knew better.

Obama Pulling Strings In Wisconsin Standoff

Wisconsin Senator Scott Fitzgerald now says that there are signs that the Obama White House is behind the recall efforts in that state after the standoff over collective bargaining for public sector unions.  This should not be a surprise since Organizing For America has been coordinating with the union protesters for a few weeks now.

Kentucky Primary Voter Deadlines

As you can see on the countdown clock on the left, the May 17 Kentucky primary is getting closer quickly.  With the emphasis on who is or is not running for President in 2012, statewide contests like this are being overlooked.  If you need to register to vote before this primary the registration deadline is April, 18.  The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is May 10.  Military and overseas voters go here for information.  Please be sure to vote so that we can continue to get real conservatives elected to as many positions as possible.  More information links are below.

What We (Tea Party Conservatives) Believe, Part 3: Wealth Creation

Race Baiting And Obama's 2012 Campaign

The race baiting of President Obama's critics continues.  Obama is quoted in a new book calling "race a key component in tea party protests."  This demagoguery will continue and  the race card  will be used during the 2012 election.  Obama has nothing positive to warrant another term, obamacare remains unpopular, his stimulus packages have failed, and even Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke says the economy will not fully recover for five years.  Obama's only choice is to draw attention away from his failures and shift it to the tired, old, recycled memes that liberals have been using against republicans in general, and conservatives in particular, for decades.  As always the goal is to silence criticism while maximizing turnout of his supporters.  All of those who believe that this will go away if we could just avoid nominating a so called polarizing candidate are naive.  These tactics will be used no matter who the GOP nominee is.  To combat this we will need to nominate someone with a steel spine, that will not sit down and shut up when democrats and the media launch their attacks.  Otherwise, we risk a nominee that will reach out to the media and try to prove that he is not so bad.  Meanwhile that same liberal media, having dropped all pretense of objectivity in 2008, will be doing everything in their power to destroy the GOP and help Obama's ride to victory in 2012.

The Ruling Class: How They Corrupted America and What We Can Do About It

I have mentioned this article in posts here  and here.  I failed to mention either time that the author, Angelo Codevilla expanded on the ideas in this article in a book.  This really is essential reading if you want to understand how Karl Rove and the rest of the GOP establishment think.  If you don't want to buy it, the book has been out long enough to be available at your public library.

What We (Tea Party Conservatives) Believe, Part 2: The Problem with Elitism

This has some outdated information because it was made in October 2010, but it still has good points.

Tea Party Review Magazine

Tea Party Review Magazine is now active.  I saw this featured in Zonation video on PJTV.  This is touted as "the first national magazine, for, by and about the tea party movement."  This will be a welcome competitor to the GOP establishment magazines out there.  I hope this effort succeeds.

Karl Rove, The "Architect," Is Clueless

I posted this  in September when Karl Rove made fun of Sarah Palin's show on TLC.  Well Karl is at it again, mocking her show as evidence that she is not qualified to be President.  Interesting that Rove does not attack Sarah Palin on policy.  Mockery is a tactic of the left.  Anyway, like the rest of the establishment GOP, Karl Rove fears the tea party will cause republicans to lose in 2012.  Think about that for a moment.  With the republican party doing little to promote conservatism nationally, the tea party delivered historic gains for the GOP in the House and in state legislatures, yet Rove and the establishment think we will cause Obama to win in 2012.  Does that make sense to anyone?  What is really going on is an attempt by Karl Rove to maintain his influence and keep the GOP under the control of the establishment.  This article does such a good job of explaining elitist republicans that Rush Limbaugh spent two hours talking about it.  We all need to know as much as possible about the GOP establishment.  They will not give us control of the republican party, we will have to take it from them.  The battle has only begun.
