Sarah Palin: DEATH PANELS STILL NOT DEAD

From Sarah Palin's Facebook page:

DEATH PANELS STILL NOT DEAD
Politicians just don't get it. Their "Death Panels" still won't die. Last night Obamacare masterminds decided they'll pay healthcare providers for vulnerable patients' "end-of-life” plans. Remember that's the strange, intrusive, unaffordable, and unnecessary scheme that was actually stripped from Obamacare five years ago, once we "found out what's in it." So now that part of this socialistic healthcare takeover is back, but yesterday's decision isn't the entire point here.

Be clear, media. Think. Do your homework. Remember when coining “death panel” I focused on the dangers of rationing healthcare services – as it's the inevitable result of any government takeover of healthcare. I was right about this then, and I’m still right about it today. Do your dang homework – you've even admitted I was right, so don't claim I'm "universally discredited" on it. Got it? In fact, even democrats now agree about “death panel" dangers they've found in Obamacare – specifically in the role that unelected, faceless bureaucrats on the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) will play in determining who will get government's limited supply of care, whose care will be covered, and they'll dangerously decide who will be denied.

Media coverage of my position on this is skewed; as usual they got it wrong. I'm calling you out, L.A. Times. You underestimate the wisdom of the people with your claim that I'm "discredited."

Here's my response to one of your colleague's questions last night about the death panels:
Ms. Reporter - thanks for asking. On the record:
There's no denying that the ultimate fix for Obamacare's unsustainable, unaffordable promises is rationed care. Rationed care decided upon by a panel of faceless bureaucrats who, rational people like me will argue, will measure a person's worth using disagreeable criteria as they justify doling out limited government-controlled care. That, my friend, is a death panel.

1. Does this still concern you as possibly leading to death panels or encouraging doctors to deny care to save costs?
It doesn’t just lead to “death panels” it confirms even further that this “Affordable Care Act” is nothing of the sort, and more importantly it just affords government permission to deny care. This decision does not take into consideration the importance of every individual, nor the sanctity of life, as many of us have said for years. Certainly, all patients and families should be advised of options, but we engage in that today and we don't need government bribing any party to do so. See, Obamacare is about unnecessary government intervention and, ultimately, it's all about government control. Government needs to stay the hell out of our "end-of-life" discussions. I'm so angry at democrat and republican politicians who just rolled their eyes when I, and many others, rose up with warnings that each step forward taken by champions of this socialist program would jerk back two steps from every free American and our God-given rights. Life is not about the almighty dollar and someone's arbitrary decisions about who deserves rationed health care; life is sacred because it's provided by our Creator and in itself deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. Speaking of dollars, a bloated bureaucracy and weak-kneed politicians sent millions of Americans into financial distress, unseen in history, with this leftist scheme called Obamacare.

2. Do you have any concerns about doctors and nurse practitioners being paid or encouraged to have end-of-life planning questions?
Concerns? More than concerns! For anyone who's had health issues – from welcoming the blessing of a new life, to the frightening and unfortunate aspects of life – answering a government questionnaire that will be judged by faceless bureaucrats just doesn’t cut it. The Hippocratic Oath taken by our care providers is one of the oldest, most sacred binding oaths, and through any iterations it has never condoned the taking of innocent life through lack of care, and certainly not via direct action. If you've recently received care then you know the many intrusive, personal questions that government mandates a provider probe. Be aware that most of these questions are for the benefit of a far-away, bankrupt government, they're not for the benefit of the patient. It is happening in our assisted living facilities, our nursing homes, hospitals, doctors’ offices, and schools, despite many providers who disagree with the mandate but are forced or coerced to provide answers to the death panel of the fed.

Sarah Palin: Celebrate Flag Day

From Sarah Palin's Facebook page

On June 14th, America celebrates Flag Day. We’re celebrating more than just a bolt of cloth with stripes and stars. Our flag was adopted by the Second Continental Congress in the middle of the American Revolution, and it symbolizes the hope of our nation!
At a time when some are purposefully pushing so many things to divide our country, we can gather around our shared symbols and stand strong through unity – especially embracing that which represents our American soul. Every day should be Flag Day! On June 14th, let’s display the red, white, and blue with honor and pride; and together, we can marvel at this “emblem of the land we love, the home of the free and the brave.”
Please share photos of the celebration that is Flag Day – whether it’s respectfully draping the flag over your front porch, wearing flag t-shirts or pins, waving it from your car, truck, boat or bike, displaying it in the garden or office cubicle, maybe decorating a cake in our colors... however you want to show your pride in ol' Glory! It will do our country's soul well to celebrate together!

Contact Congress And Tell Them To Vote No On Trade Promotion Authority

The House has set a vote on Trade Promotion Authority for Friday June 12.  This will allow President Obama to get an up or down vote on trade agreements without the possibility of adding amendments.  While this has been done during previous administrations, Congress should not be so eager to do it now.

This President has shown time and time again that he does not have the best interests of the US in mind when he is negotiating for other nations.  He also likes to negotiate things away from the  prying eyes of the US public.  The Trans Pacific Partnership is no different.  It is being negotiated in secret so that members of Congress don't know everything that is in it. It is more and more evident that one of the things in this agreement is a backdoor immigration plan to bring in more foreign workers.  If the republicans in Congress had any courage or wisdom they would see that everything President Obama has done during his term is to carry out his stated goal of destroying this nation and "transforming " it into something more to his liking.  Instead, the gutless GOP scrambles to pass Obamatrade to please their lobbyist donors and avoid criticism in the media by showing  that they can "get things done."

Republicans may vote to fast track trade agreements and say that any actual agreements can be stopped.  Don't fall for this.  Once Trade Promotion Authority is given the lobbyists and GOP leadership will drag and coerce Congress to pass whatever trade agreement this President comes up with.  Many times republican leaders have sold out to this President and promised to stand against him at some point in the future.  No more!  If you want Congress to vote against Trad Promotion Authority you must contact your representative in the House.  Go here to find your member of the House and tell them to vote no on TPA.

Sarah Palin: Don't forget the selfless souls who made our freedom possible

From Sarah Palin's Facebook page:

As you enjoy time with friends and family today, don't forget the selfless souls who made our freedom possible. Tell your kids the truth about Memorial Day's meaning. We're in a free nation today – free so far – because courageous Americans made the necessary sacrifices to bring us this far. We owe them a debt of gratitude. We had all better take responsibility for the true state of this Union and demand better from those with the influence to awaken the masses. Granted, those with influence may not have it within them, so find it within yourself to help our current generation of vets and active duty military. It's tragic to see for the most part that it is vets taking care of vets today, while too many people sit on their butts taking our military men and women for granted. Vets, active duty military and their families are serving YOU! They're putting it all on the line to serve something greater than self! And yet our warped media and Hollywood elites too often belittle them while they prop up their ridiculously weak "heroes" that a celebrity-obsessed society worships. Talking down our troops, taking down patriotic Americans just trying to do their best and seeking redemption when we screw up... when will the majority rise up and say, "No more." May it begin today, on this Memorial Day when all should be thinking outside of self and doing something to help the families and loved ones of those who died for you. God bless you, and I sure hope God will keep blessing the USA. God hasn't given up on this nation, don't you give up either.

Sarah Palin: Jihad Is On The March

From Sarah Palin's Facebook page:

It's unfortunate and potentially frightening knowing that everywhere you look today jihad is on the march – even on American soil. Warnings for potential terrorist attacks on our homeland are now stepped up, and with the arrest of dozens of Americans on terrorism related charges, the message is clear that no place seems safe from jihad.
Our military personnel and law enforcement agencies have to be right every time, but the terrorists only have to get “lucky” once to do horrible damage to our country. The threat of radical Islam is real, and it must not be allowed to be ignored.
With the recent capture of Ramadi, ISIS has scored a key victory that is more than symbolic as this death cult takes land that Americans spilled blood and treasure to secure. Make no mistake that this situation could have been avoided had the Obama administration heeded the warnings of military brass that urged them to keep a residual force in Iraq to maintain the peace that America and our allies fought so hard for.
But it’s never too late to do the right thing. That means getting serious about defeating ISIS at the source while remaining ever vigilant at home. As always, our foreign policy must be rooted in the motto Peace Through Strength. For your part, friends, I encourage you to keep in perspective the issues-of-the-day that media chooses to report on. Demand our leaders and the press keep national priorities straight, and don't allow fear to dictate our actions and change our way of life. To cower in fear is to let the enemy win. So stay vigilant, take personal responsibility for the safety of ourselves and our property, support our troops, and learn through history that we only remain free by being brave.
May God's hand of protection remain on this country that has dedicated herself to Him.

Gay Marriage: A Trojan Horse Movement

From American Thinker:

"The Left doesn’t care about gay rights, any more than they care about civil rights, welfare rights, minority rights, animal rights or any other “rights.” According to the Left, “the issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.” The various “rights” the Left has aggressively promoted over the years are merely vehicles to advance the Left’s power.

Consider: the welfare “rights” movement, founded by the notorious socialists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, was not established to guarantee welfare to the poor. As they said, their purpose was to pack the welfare rolls with so many beneficiaries that the government would collapse of its own weight. In the ensuing riots, they hoped policy makers would be driven to accept their socialist solution. In short, they sought anarchy, using a militant poor as their foot soldiers. They couldn’t care less what happened to the poor in prosecuting this agenda, and they said so. Doubt me? Just look at the status of the poor today. There are more people on welfare than at any time in history. And the crime and degeneracy that accompany it are epidemic.

Look at our country today. With manufactured crisis Strategist-in-Chief Obama, we are almost there, and Cloward and Piven’s intellectual descendants were out in force in Ferguson. The communist agitators seeking “social justice” for Michael Brown burned down much of the neighborhood. Do black lives matter to them? Apparently not. And they have even said so. The issue is not the issue.

Occupy Wall Street’s black anarchist organizer Nelini Stamp’s new group, Dream Defenders, popularized the slogan “Hands Up Don’t Shoot!” But prior to Ferguson there was Trayvon Martin. Working with Eric Holder’s DOJ, Stamp’s group was responsible for getting Sanford, Florida police chief Bill Lee fired. This despite the fact the FBI agreed with Lee’s assessment that there was no case against Martin’s killer, George Zimmerman. Did Stamp care about “Justice for Trayvon?” Not according to Stamp. “We are actually trying to change the capitalist system we have today, because it’s not working for any of us,” she said."

Sarah Palin: Obama traded one deserter for five evil terrorists

From Sarah Palin's Facebook page:

When President Obama traded one deserter for five evil terrorists hell-bent on destroying America, rational people did not believe the Obama administration’s claims about this traitor’s “health crisis,” or claims that he served “with honor and distinction,” and certainly not President Obama’s claim that this was a good deal for America.

After putting the country in danger, President Obama celebrated Bergdahl in our Rose Garden, arm in arm with his smiling father greeting Americans in Arabic and Pashtu, as our loyal troops cringed. In fact, in the days that followed, the Obama administration actually smeared the vets who came forward to tell the truth about Bergdahl’s traitorous desertion.

Now finally public disclosure tells the truth – that Bergdahl is a deserter. In my book, he is a traitor. Also, reports show the majority of the terrorist leaders Obama set free in exchange for this deserter have taken steps to hook up with the enemy – their Taliban pals in Afghanistan. As rational Americans predicted, the prisoners didn’t see the light while being freed at Gitmo, instead they burrowed further in the darkness of jihad, laughing all the way back to the battlefield to rejoin their death cult in the fight against U.S. troops, for when they are soon released from probation in Qatar, nothing stops them.

President Obama’s prisoner swap clearly undermined our forces during a time of war; he violated law by releasing terrorist prisoners without giving Congress the required 30 days’ advance notice; he created more distrust among our allies; he disrespected our loyal and sacrificial troops by actually honoring a traitor; and most significantly, our own Commander-in-chief endangered America.

Congress, if putting our nation in danger doesn’t rise to the level of “high crimes,” then nothing does. But since you’ve unequivocally and inexplicably taken impeachment off the table for anything Obama does while on your watch, what do you intend to do about this? If you do your job as balancers of power, we can surely expect repercussions, correct? While you're thinking about your responsibility, consider the men who DID serve with honor and distinction, but of course were never celebrated in our Rose Garden. These men of courage and good character were killed while obeying orders to find and protect the celebrated deserter Bergdahl.

Mr. President, if you can pull yourself away from your all-important basketball brackets and buckets of popcorn, you too should take a good look at these selfless young troops who gave all for their country. We await your explanation on all of this; certainly even a complicit media deserves it. More importantly though, the families of our fallen heroes deserve the most heartfelt apology.

Gov. Palin: I faced tough questions over email, so should Hillary Clinton

From Sarah Palin's op-ed:

The latest Obama administration scandal involving Hillary Clinton’s emails has many Americans discussing private email accounts used by government officials, and clarification is in order.
It’s appropriate and proper for a politician to use private email for personal and campaign business. This is what I did as governor of Alaska in order to be in compliance with the law, which requires that personal or campaign business not be conducted using public resources such as a government email account. There is a firm line separating the two.
However, that’s not what we see with this Clinton email scandal. As Secretary of State under Obama, Hillary Clinton used private email accounts on a privately maintained server 100 percent of the time for 100 percent government business. That’s unethical, no doubt illegal, and flies in the face of all claims of transparency. Hillary Clinton and her staff weren’t trying to be in compliance with the law; they were skirting it altogether.

Sarah Palin: It's Good To Be Back In Lone Star State

From Sarah Palin's Facebook page:

It's great to be back in the Lone Star State this week to speak with America's energy entrepreneurs at the North American Prospect Expo. My op-ed running in the Texas Tribune today speaks to the state of the energy industry:
http://tribtalk.org/20…/…/11/why-drill-baby-drill-was-right/

There's reason for great hope that American-made oil and gas supplies can energize our nation, making reliance on foreign energy sold to us by unfriendliness a thing of the past. Bottom line: drill, baby, drill works.
